Carters Updates

Today Carter had some cereal using a spoon.  He did ok.

Carter continues to grow and is doing great.

Weight: 16 lb 4 oz (75th percentile)
Length: 26 inches (90th percentile)

Amazing he is so big considering he was a month early.  He is taller and weighs more than Emma did at 6 months.

Carter had his 2 month well child exam today. His stats:
Weight: 11 lb 15 oz (50th percentile)
Length: 23 inches (50-75th percentile)
He is doing great! He got 3 shots today and didn’t like them one bit but thankfully, big sister Emma was there to help him calm down!

Can you believe I am already one month old?  Had my second doctors visit today and everything is great.  I was 7 lbs 13 oz.  Getting bigger everyday.

The doctor says I am doing great.  I am up to 6 lbs already.  All of the things my parents were worrying about were for nothing.  They don’t have to keep a hat on me at home or swaddled every moment.  The doctors said he could not hear a heart murmur and there was nothing to worry about.  I just need to keep growing and I am doing a good job at that right now.

on 2/14/10 my mom and dad brought me home.  What a different place to be, I have a big sister that is always looking after me.  She wants to help mom and dad hold me and feed me every chance she has.

My name is Carter James Newcastle.  I was born on 2/2/10 at 1:51pm.  I was 20 1/4 inches tall and 5 lbs 10 oz.  I came a little bit early but am doing great with the care of the nicu.  As of today 2/7/10 I have come off of oxygen and am eating great.  My mom and dad were able to hold me today and I am doing great.  Tomorrow I may even get to eat out of a bottle they are telling me.
